Canada Greener Homes Grant
GOVERNMENT
This refund is being offered to residential homes by Ontario and the Government of Canada as a thank you for reducing your overall household energy consumption. On a larger scale, the goal is to mitigate the harmful consequences of climate change.
We can assist you in obtaining up to $100,000 in rebates for making your house more comfortable and environmentally friendly through repairs and upgrades!
All you have to do as a homeowner is complete two EnerGuide Energy Audits (pre- and post-renovation).
Greener Homes Rebate
The Canada Greener Homes Grant gives up to $5,600 in funding for home inspections and retrofits. Homeowners can get up to $600 in total for pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide inspections, as well as up to $5,000 in total for the installation of approved retrofits such as home insulation, windows, doors, and air sealing.
* The project is open to all eligible homeowners in Canada, regardless of where they live. Only one homeowner per residence may register. You will be expected to:
1. Provide proof of ownership in the form of your property tax bill number (available on your local property tax paperwork).
2. Provide proof that the property is your primary residence, such as a driver's license, a government-issued ID (with address), or a utility bill.
Requirements for the intiative
You Must:

Complete an EnerGuide pre- and post-retrofit evaluation.

Complete at least one qualified and recommended retrofit in your energy advisor's report. Only homeowners that complete at least one retrofit will be eligible for reimbursement.
3
Provide and maintain copies of all documents until March 31, 2030.
What is eligible for reimbursement
After completing your retrofits, you
can seek compensation for:

Up to $5,000 in total for qualified retrofits completed after December 1, 2020.

Up to $600 for pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide tests. You will not be compensated for the pre-retrofit evaluation until you complete the entire Greener Homes Grant process. Please keep in mind that EnerGuide evaluations conducted before to December 1, 2020 are not eligible for reimbursement.
